DELICIOUS HEALTHY SMOOTHIE

Food crushed in a high powered blender for half a minute or so increases the nutritional value of the food significantly. Some authorities say it unlocks some nutrients not otherwise available by normal chewing. Russell L. Blaylock, M.D.says in The Blaylock Wellness Report, 9/2011, "Simply eating vegetables allows only 20 to 30 percent of the nutrients to be absorbed. Blenderizing raises that number to 80 to 90 (percent).By using"green juice" produced by blenderizing, you get a combination of vitamins, minerals, fiber and flavonoids, all of which reduce inflammation in the body, and many of which reduce excitotoxcity. 

Dr. Tom Wu, world renown cancer therapist, says that if you are healthy, you should replace one regular meal a day with a blenderized vegetable drink, just to stay healthy. If you have a temporary illness, you should replace two of your regular meals with blenderized drinks. If you have cancer or any other serious chronic health issues, you should replace all three meals every day with blenderized vegetable drinks and add at least three more, during the day, totaling six 16 oz drinks.See Dr. Wu.

The thing that makes this smoothie so easy to drink is that, depending on what you actually use, it tastes as good or better than a good chocolate milk shake!  It is easy to get in the habit of drinking it first thing every morning because it tastes good, not like most "health" drinks. A good chocolate shake uses good rich ice cream, chocolate flavoring, and lots of sugar. We use use Nestle's or Hershey's “pure chocolate” powder. Their ingredients are “cocoa” ONLY. We use flax oil or a very, very light, tasteless olive oil for the rich creamy texture, instead of the dairy cream and we use stevia to sweeten instead of sugar or High fructose corn sugar. The banana also helps to thicken it a bit as do the ice cubes.

Everyday ingredients: for two servings

Multivitamin, mineral, enzyme LIQUID, 2 TBSP (Buried Treasure or equal)

Carrot, about 1/3

Green vegetables, mixed, 1 cup, lightly steamed (occasionally raw) (mainly organic Kale & collard greens)

Grapes, fresh dark ones with seeds if possible.

Berries, frozen organic (blue berries or mixed), ¼ cup

Chocolate powder (cocoa), 1 (or more) heaping TBSP Be sure the ingredients say "cocoa" only!

Flax or light olive oil, 1 TBSP Oil (no salad or peanut oil!!!)

Protein, seeds and/or nuts lower the glycemic index of the entire drink. A couple of Brazil nuts gives you lots of selenium and boosts your immune system naturally.

Banana, 1

Coffee, decaffeinated instant, 1 Tsp

Stevia, 1 Tsp

Cinnamon, a dash. Aides metabolism of the fruit sugars

Ice cubes, 3 or 4

Water, as little as necessary to desired thickness.

Adders:

Mango, papaya, oranges, (no processed orange or fruit juices because of the extremely high sugar content) and star fruit are powerfully nutritious and add great flavor and variety. The vegetables are selected based on what is available fresh. This helps vary the taste and helps to keep it from getting monotonous. Beet greens and roots are excellent, as are cucumber, collards, carrots, celery, bell peppers, chard, Chinese cabbage and many others. Organic rice bran is an excellent source of fiber and nutrients. Coconut Water adds a tremendous number of nutrients and electrolytes and adds to the taste. Add yogurt or cottage cheese, but avoid the low fat or fat free versions because of the added sugar. Mix and vary to your taste. Use your imagination.

A teaspoon of decaf coffee is frequently added as a flavor enhancer and cardiovascular tonic.

Note:If you don't yet have the liquid multivitamin, take the best capsule or tablet Multi you can get WITH the drink. When taken together, there are many synergistic processes that take place making the combination even more powerful, than when taken at different times.

All other additional nutritional supplements, you are taking, should be taken along with the drink. (Except those stating on the label that they should be taken on an empty stomach or between meals or before bedtime).

Get the Highest power blender you can afford. We suggest either Vitamix or Blendtec brands. The lower priced blenders just do not have enough power to sufficiently break down the cellular structure and fibers of the vegetables. 

Be Careful NOT to drink this powerful mixture down like an ordinary drink. Be sure to salivate it (swish it around in our mouth) well before swallowing it, because much of the digestive process starts right in your mouth.

Stay away from store smoothies. They are extremely high in sugar and are very inflammatory.

Protein powders are OK, but watch the ingredients for undesirables.
