BABY STEPS

Modern life exposes your body to a pretty much constant assault of “unknown” threats which your body handles as if they were each toxic or a threat to your survival! The many choices we make every day (almost always made unconsciously) in each of five different areas, cause our inflammation levels to be abnormally chronically elevated. They are the choices which contribute to our illness and pain. They can be grouped into three categories; choices about our body’s nutritional environment, its physical environment and its mental environment. 

Everything that you present to your body, that it does not recognize & is not prepared to handle, by way of its ancient and original programming, it considers as a "real" threat to your very survival. These perceived” threats cause an increase in the inflammation levels in your body as it goes into a "fight-or-flight" mode in an attempt to protect you from what it thinks are "real" threats to your well-being! These constant "perceived' threats create the chronic inflammation which causes so much pain, illness & death!

***IMPORTANT! If you are presently in any kind of addiction mode, those problems must be resolved before you need to even think about these anti-inflammatory measures for improved health. Drinking even one sugar water “soft” drink or “juice” drink, or a couple of alcohol drinks or caffeinated drinks a day, or smoking at all, are each such powerful inflammation producers that they must be corrected first before any reasonable hope of progress toward improved health is possible.

This program is the result of years of our independent study and research of the latest unbiased data made available from Universities, independent research labs and other research sources. Please recognize that Manufacturers, Drug Companies, Medical specialists, Attorneys, some Institutions, the Sugar industry, and all the manufacturers who are selling you sugar in the food they sell, high fructose corn sugars, artificial sweeteners, MSG, GMO foods, pesticides, etc.) ALL have a huge financial interest in your buying and consuming their product., EVEN IF IT KILLS YOU! And even the government gets billions of dollars a year in tax revenue from your being sick. These entities NEED you to GET SICK & STAY SICK! Think about "where is the money?" when you see or read these advertisements or statements trying to convince you that the "bad' stuff s really OK.

An important Key to your health and wellness in the 21st century is to recognize that just because you (or all the other people in the world) do something and it doesn’t make you sick or ill right away…does not mean that it is not powerfully damaging to your health OVER A PERIOD OF TIME! Slow low level toxic input is the cause of chronic inflammation and the resultant vast variety of sickness and pain.

Just look at the state of the health of everybody that you see around you.  If you think that they are anywhere close to healthy, then this is not for you. They represent what the world is "selling" us. Chronic inflammation cripples and kills …but it takes time! The effect of these damaging actions or choices are not felt by the body right away, but rather they build slowly, powerfully, cumulatively, over time.

Just a little bit of stuff you need to know about...

YOUR BODY'S AUTOMATIC PROTECTION MECHANISMS. We all have a wonderful automatic system, called the Autonomic Nervous System, which was designed to protect us and insure our survival. Unfortunately, it was designed to work well in the world that existed several thousand years ago and now, causes lots of trouble and problems. It is composed of our Sympathetic Nervous System and our Parasympathetic Nervous System.

The Sympathetic Nervous System is that part of the system that prepares our body for “fight-or-flight”. It is designed to help us save ourselves from a threatening situation, one that is short-term and severe. It raises our inflammatory levels as part of that protection.

The Parasympathetic Nervous System  is the opposite side of the Autonomic Nervous System and it is the system that tells the body, “everything is OK and safe and it is OK to do healing, repairs, creative thinking and etc.”

The choices we make in the way we live our modern life cause these systems to become grossly and chronically out of balance with the Sympathetic Nervous System being in control. This means that the ”new normal” for our inflammation levels is chronically elevated because of this continual unbalance and by the continual domination by the Sympathetic Nervous System. This is what causes all the chronic inflammation which results in chronic illness and chronic pain.

BABY STEP #1. AWARENESS 

Spend the next week just noticing the choices you make in each of the three following areas we alert you to that contribute to your elevated chronic inflammation. You will be amazed!

AWARENESS AREA #1. NUTRITIONAL STRESSORS.

Just start noticing the amount “man- made” or manufactured food you eat and drink. Recognize the amount of added sugar that is in everything you eat or drink. Notice if it is regular cane sugar or the super dangerous, High Fructose Corn Syrup. And all the artificial sweeteners are even more hazardous, but because of the body’s different defensive reactions to the toxins. Check for MSG (under hidden names as...natural flavorings}, and chemical preservatives. Are you drinking chlorinated, fluorinated acid pH municipal water? Are you using a deodorant containing aluminum? ...a commercial tooth paste? A shampoo containing laural sulfate? Also check breads & pastries for hydrogenated fats.Your present programming does not recognize anything that is man-made, and perceives it as toxic, raising your inflammation levels to protect you from what perceives as a "threat" to your well-being.

 AWARENESS AREA #2. ENVIRONMENTAL  STRESSORS.  

Begin noticing how much of each day you spend outside in a “green” area in clean fresh air and light. Notice how much pesticides are used around where you spend your time. Your body is designed for you to spend the majority of your time walking around outdoors, looking for food, in natural light, barefooted, in “green” pastoral surrounding. It still requires those inputs for proper functioning. Sitting in a chair, under artificial light and breathing recirculated air just does not do the job. Notice the number of pesticides, chemical cleaners, deodorants, soaps, shampoos, toothpastes, perfumes and colognes that are neurotoxins or carcinogens that are right "under your nose", in your home. Our “un-natural” environments all cause increases in our inflammatory levels.

AWARENESS AREA #3. MENTAL STRESSORS.

Begin noticing how many times your cell phone rings with a call or a text message…or how often you just look at it for some reason or other. Think about the almost 70,000 thoughts (mostly negative and repetitive) you have each day. How many times is your “peace and quiet” interrupted? Notice what is going on in your life that makes you a little bit “edgy”, jumpy or uncomfortable. Notice how much down or quiet time you have to yourself, where it is peaceful and quiet with nothing happening? Do you have any regular “down-time in your life? Compare your average chaotic and hectic day with the relative calmness, peacefulness and ease of that of your ancient ancestors. Recognize that your body’s systems have not evolved rapidly enough on their own to handle the continued “activity” of your day! The continual mental stresses that we encounter during what is considered a “normal” day cause our inflammation system to over react and to become chronically elevated.  

AWARENESS AREA #4. PHYSICAL  STRESSORS. Lack of sufficient quality rest and sleep create unnecessary inflammation in the body, as does over exertion. Notice how you are treating you body regarding rest and exertion.

AWARENESS AREA #5. AGEING  STRESSORS.

Inflammation issues become even more important as we age. They become urgent, for most of us, after we reach forty (40). Notice how many "new" aches, pains and diseases pop up as you get a little over 40. Check your energy levels.

FIRST: FOCUS & NOTICE. 

Get a bound notebook and before you retire each evening, for this first week, take just a few minutes and focus on your day. Write down the stressors you noticed that your body has been exposed to that day. Consider the nutritional stresses, the physical or environmental stresses and the mental stresses. Think about your life. Are you happy or sad, hostile or appreciative? Also notice how many times you encountered sales propaganda attempting to "sell" you on the bad stuff you are trying to avoid.
